07/2024 HNAM Lab Secures $50,000 NSF Funding for Customer Discovery!!!
We are thrilled to announce that our lab has been awarded $50,000 in funding for customer discovery from the National Science Foundation (NSF). This project, led by Dr. Bo Li as Technical Lead, Mr. Sheraz Ahmed as Entrepreneurial Lead, and Ms. Sandra Gomberg as Industrial Mentor, focuses on the translational potential of eco-friendly nanomaterial assembly technology for use with a wide range of polymer textiles and substrates. Our team recently interviewed fire companies and attended the "Functional Fabric Fair" and "Texworld New York City," where we engaged with numerous textile manufacturers, yarn suppliers, and chemical/finishing processing companies. These interactions provided valuable insights and connections that will be instrumental to our project's success. We are planning to visit our industrial collaborators and look forward to connecting more dots to identify the biggest need that our technology can address. Check our video about this!!!!!!
